Abby Knight is a Composer and Pianist based in the South of England.  Abby specialises in composing music for documentaries, Instagram reels and film and television,  bringing visual media to life by creating an original and authentic score.

Abby has composed music for a range of different visual media, from advertisement videos to Instagram reels. She has worked with world-renowned filmmakers and photographers from around the globe to compose beautifully crafted music for their visual media. Her recent portfolio of work includes an intersectional collaboration between music and nature with Emmy award-winning, National Geographic cinematographer, Ben Hicks as well as other successful filmmakers in the industry. Abby and Ben have joined forces in a collaborative effort, creating compelling content that underscores the critical significance of wildlife and the natural world, serving as a poignant reminder of the importance of mindfulness towards the environment in our daily lives.

Abby has collaborated with videographers in Cornwall and Devon to write authentic and memorable scores for wedding videos, to enhance memories of beautiful, once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Abby offers free online consultations to discuss styles, genres and preferences of music, and then works hard to bring your vision to life! Her other notable collaborations include creating a single with Hans Zimmers primary cello player. Her music will soon be on Spotify. 

Abby also holds music workshops in womens centres and local communities. This includes everything from writing music, group singing sessions, painting and sketching!

Abby has been studying music for 13 years. She started by learning grades when she was 8 years old and has been studying composition and the piano ever since! She studied Music at Exeter College and Falmouth University alongside completing her piano grades. She now wants to use her knowledge to compose, perform and write music for a range of different ventures.
